With 1T, 2T and 4T sizes being more popular within this sector the product has been utilised for foreshore regeneration, protecting/stabilising riverbanks and bridge foundations whilst also providing support and scour protection for outfall pipes.

River Bank Protection		Ridgeway Filter Unit® Rockbags are installed along the front of the riverbank to provide independent foot protection. Installation can be carried out using either step piling or random piling methods, depending on site conditions and project requirements.
Foot Protection		Ridgeway Filter Unit® Rockbags are installed on the riverbed to provide a stable and continuous foundation. To achieve a tightly constructed structure with minimal gaps, the use of smaller-sized fill material is recommended.
River Dike Protection		Ridgeway Filter Unit® Rockbags can be installed using the step piling method, which is typically applied on slopes of 1:2 or steeper to provide stable and secure placement.

Emergency Procedure		Ridgeway Filter Unit® Rockbags can be installed in disaster-affected areas to help control erosion. Their flexible design also allows for additional filling or reinforcement where required.
Temporary Road		To prevent damage to Ridgeway Filter Unit® Rockbags from heavy construction machinery passing over them, it is recommended that a steel plate is placed on top during operations to provide protection.
